Selling my Weatherby Vanguard Sporter in 257 wby. This rifle has the Grade A Turkish walnut and it’s beautiful. Rosewood forend, nice deep blueing that’s a 9/10. The rifle has a few safe kisses, but overall excellent condition. I don’t think it’s seen more than 10 rounds over the years. Other then the few small dings and what not on the stock, it’s mint.
The vanguard might be the most bang for your buck in “lower end” rifles. The actions are smooth, triggers are actually not half bad and they shoot lights out. The 257 wby is an absolute hammer with mild recoil, about the same as a 270. Great youth or beginner rifle.
