The NON Restricted "mag fed monster" is a monolithic aluminum upper chassis 10.5in barrel 12g breacher shotty. It's by far my top choice for a tactical pump... BUT I've got a growing semi auto shotgun build to pay off. This is the closest to AR controls on a shotgun you'll find in Canada. Honestly this shotgun has an incredibly innovative design - Monolithic upper receiver includes full length heat shield/barrel enclosure and top rail. Full length top rail allows for mounting all the items you'd want on a tactical shotgun e.g. light, sling mount, flip irons for cowitnessing with red dot, etc. Housed by the monolithic upper is a 10.5inch breacher barrel, knurled barrel nut/muzzle device, compact stock with high quality recoil pad and perfectly balanced/placed ambi QD sling ports. Lower has Ambi AR style controls, AR style safety and mag release + ambi bolt release, trigger internals look/feel similar to milspec trigger. Takedown genuinely takes seconds with a single HK style pin and unthreading barrel nut. No fiddling with shell stops, ejectors, bolt carries, etc. Comes with 6 mags - 4x 8 rounds (retail cost $70-80) and 2x 5 rounds - Mags can be inserted on open or closed bolt. The pump assembly feels incredibly solid/robust compared to Mossberg 590 or Rem 870. It balances at the mid point thanks to shells located in mag instead of full tube, slings nicely and is truly very compact. Cycling 8+1 shells through this thing is a breeze thanks to a smooth travelling wobble free pump mechanism.
The only signs of wear on this shotgun are where you'd expect to find them - inside magwell and QD port, small scuffs on front rail slots from flashlight mount, small paint pen witness mark on barrel nut. All visible in pics, internals show mild wear from break in. No scratches, rust, etc, this shotty was well looked after because it impressed the hell out of me!
