Description

Really beautiful side by side Spanish made 16 gauge shotgun, made in Eibar a gun manufacturing centre in the north of Spain that produced some beauties! They don't make them like this anymore. Check out the Greener Crossbolt for an impressively safe locking mechanism. This is also equipped with an auto safety feature. The barrels ring true! I tried it when I clean it. This even has beautiful engravings of a pointer hunting dog on both sides and reinforced cupping receiver with blueing.

The wood is in great shape looks good. It is ready for straps. If you don't want the European style. The clip actually screws off, enabling you to mount the new style. In one picture on the shooters right side it looks like the finish is gone but that is the lighting. It is a pretty nice finish all around.

Gun has not seen a lot of action, from visual inspeaction but I don't have a history on the gun, bought it second hand and used it on clays, grouse and the odd malard. I have probably only shot a little over a 200 shells through it, selling because I am downsizing.

Gun handles great, light in your hands, balanced very whippy fast to get on target. As my friend says, it carries like a 20 gauge and shoots like a 12. Everyone who shoots with this gun loves it. They always describe how it feels in your hand, it's balance, lightness. I think I might miss this one when it's gone.

SN on receiver and barrels match but the fore end appears to have been replaced as the SN doesn't match but looks right and fits perfectly.

Some markings on the lever someone must have let it go with the crew half way out.
