Contacted this gentleman regarding a 45/70 he had for sale.
I made him an offer via text message for very close to asking price and it was accepted.
I offered to EMT a deposit but their preference was cash FTF and we set up a date 2 days later for the PU.
Received a message today that a close relative came by and offered the full asking price and he had given it to them. They apologized profusely and that was that.
I have chosen to believe this seller and so I sort of understand. I have not given him a low rating as he seemed like a descent guy, and coming from a big family I understand the pressures that can come with it. Feel a bit sorry him given the relative, after being told the rifle was sold, caused this seller to break his word to me. I would not have done that to anyone as you can see by my ratings, and that kind of family I distanced long ago....lol.
Something like this can only happen once...... and if for some reason the sellers story was not true karma will take care of it :)
That said I would be doing a disservice to fellow Gunpost users if I didn't post this. Assuming your future transactions with this seller will go smoothly.......
