Purchased a gun off Walt Cooper from Leamington that was discribed as mint condition minus a bump on the wood stock near the cheek pad. When I looked over the gun after purchasing I came across a crack in the stock along with marks down the barrel with what looks like an attemp to cover up with either bluing or a sharpy. Along with a few other issues with items it came with, nothing was as per discribed to me. Not even the original purchase price. Unbelieveable.
You will find my conversations below of this member. If I could provide pictures of this gun I would however Not sure how to.
Walt will speek professionally when you talk to him but seems to be a hustler and defenetly misleading. Please be careful with this guy as he is not professional nor honest.
:Good evening Walter,
As discussed over the phone, I will purchase your 338 Tikka. Feel free to contact me through this email or you can always call me at work
:Good evening Walt,
After getting home from work tonight and excited to have a better look at my new purchase in decent light I noticed a couple things.
The biggest concern is a crack in the stock on the right side near the tang.
Second, after looking closer after lightly wiping some of the oil off to get a better look at the condition of the bluing I noticed the marks on the barrel. Some which looked like there was an attempt to be touched up at one point by a prior owner.
I know I gave you a commitment over the phone I would purchase this off you based on your description of the gun. I’m hoping we can do something here as this is a disappointing find.

Hi Rob, That's all news to me, please take some pics under lower magnification, I can't make anything out from yours. I'll also forward them to the original owner and ask if he was aware of any of this. Let's see if we can resolve it.

:Good afternoon Walt,
I just want to follow up and make sure you received the pictures and where we are at with this.

I have forwarded them and waiting for a response. Also talking to a couple of people who have worked as gunsmiths.
Good morning Walt,
I’m not quite sure what the person you purchased the gun from has anything to do with the agreement you and I have. Nor a gunsmith that may or may not be able to fix it.
The description you gave me of this gun does not match what I’ve received. I’m not okay with paying for a “mint” gun that is in need of repair by a gunsmith or one with a the stock repaired and barrel reblued that I just paid for a “mint” little used gun minus the blemish on the cheek pad.
The ammo in the box did not even match as it looks like you have at least 2 different cartridges in there.
I’m shocked for someone who knows allot about guns to not be aware of these issues and one that would not be okay with being on this side of the transaction.
Walt Cooper from Kingsville has not communicated nor made any attempt to rectify this issue since. Beware!!!!!
Very nice guy on the phone. Unfortunately I took him at face value. He sold me a British shotgun, specially telling me it had no cast, ie. bend to the stock. He had a great back story about the previous owner.
The shotgun arrived, very well packaged, but with a stock bent for a leftie. Like a hockey stick. Not only that but the fore stock could not be attached. I did not concern myself with it as I had already decided to return it.
Now he claims I broke it somehow, so I own it. The fact that he sent me a leftie is no longer an issue.
I had paid for his shipping, and the return shipping. Hell, I'd even pay for repairs if he would just return my money.
But no. apparently the left hand broken gun is coming back to me. This is the worst possible action he could have taken, which he did without talking to me.
I see other good reviews, but I would not deal with this fellow.
Walt is awesome. It's a pleasure to meet honest hunters and gun enthusiasts on gun post. He took such care to package my beautiful new lever action rifle. It was shipped promptly and was exactly as advertised. I would do business again with Walt in a heart beat. I'm happy to be a reference, shoot me a text 250 278 6608
Outstanding transaction from start to finish - great communication, super easy to deal with, fast shipping, and excellent packaging; everything arrived looking exactly as it should. Deal with confidence!
