Large Native Powder Horn Circa 1790 from my Collection
Acquired this horn with the purchase of a Trade Gun. I did not deal with the owner but the owner’s son and he knew nothing about the history of the gun or horn. He did allow us to look thru his father’s books in which we discovered the following a little piece history of the family. In 1788 the family moved from “Georgian” to “Canada”. The Horn itself measures approx. 11 ½ in. on the curve. The plug end has carved lines plus brass tacks.
